Welcome to our new website.

Welcome to Clare Community Primary School

I am delighted to introduce you to our welcoming and aspirational school, part of the Stour Valley Educational Trust. At Clare Community Primary School our sincere wish is that we can work in partnership to give your child the best possible education and start in life. We want to encourage and inspire creativity and give as good a foundation as we can in those vital basic skills such as reading and number; but also help our pupils to develop as caring and thoughtful people, able to work and play sensitively with others.

We are very fortunate to be housed in a modern and well-equipped facility, which was extended and completely refurbished in 2010; and benefits from spacious, carefully designed and laid-out classrooms, and a large school hall. Outside we have a generous school field, school pond and a wooded area, as well as two playgrounds with play equipment and a trim trail. We are situated within a quiet and secluded corner of the 17th century market town of Clare, backing onto ancient common lands.

At Clare Community Primary we aim to give each individual the opportunity to grow and learn in a caring and well-disciplined environment, teaching them how to attain the best from their ability, to develop high self-esteem, to respect others and to enjoy the world, embodying our core values of Community, Learning, Aspiration, Respect and Enthusiasm.

We want your child to be excited to come to school in the mornings, and I hope that we can work together to achieve this. We welcome visits, so please take the opportunity to come and see our setting, have a tour around the school and meet some of our staff and pupils.

Our Ethos (C.L.A.R.E.)

We believe that Clare Community Primary School is a very special place where we all work together to enable our pupils to become successful learners, confident individuals and responsible citizens. We recognise those who embody this ethos through team points, Gold Book Certificates and Headteachers’ certificates during our Celebration Assemblies on Friday mornings. These values underpin everything we do at school.
